Hourglass Unlocked Ghost Edition Ambient Lighting Palette (2019) Review & Swatches

Unlocked (Ghost Edition) Hourglass Unlocked (Ghost Edition) Ambient Lighting Edit Palette ($80.00 for 0.29 oz.) is a re-release of last holiday’s Unlocked palette, which was apparently quite popular! As it sold out quite quickly through Hourglass and Sephora (but is still in stock at Nordstrom, Beautylish, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Selfridges and from when I last checked), I wanted to get this “review” up as soon as possible–I’ve gone through and checked for coverage, texture, application, and wear tests of the four cheek colors (but not the finishing powders, as I don’t expect them to perform differently as this formula has been quite consistent). Visually, the brand swapped the positions of the highlighter and bronzer, and Mood Flush appeared darker...

ColourPop My Perch or Yours Blush & Lite Stix Duo Review & Swatches

Colour Pop My Perch or Yours Blush Stix and Lite Stix Duo ($14.00 for oz.) features two new shades: a warm pink blush paired with a pale pink with gold shimmer highlighter. The blush performed beautifully with buildable coverage, as described, easy application, and great wear, while the highlighter applied well and lasted for over eight hours, it was a bit sheerer and harder to build up compared to most shades I've tried in the formula. Aviary is a brighter, medium-dark pink with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It appeared warmer when applied at medium or heavier coverage, but Continue Reading…

ColourPop In a Twitter Blush & Lite Stix Duo Review & Swatches

Colour Pop In a Twitter Blush Stix and Lite Stix Duo ($14.00 for 0.61 oz.) is a new cream blush and highlighter duo, which featured a warm, coral blush and a shimmering, peachy-coral highlighter (which may be a highlighting blush for lighter skin tones). Both shades performed beautifully and were consistent with past experiences I've had with the formula; they applied easily, had buildable coverage, and excellent wear. Hen Party is a medium, slightly muted coral with warm undertones and a luminous, dewy finish. It had more opaque coverage applied directly from the tube and sheerer, more buildable coverage when Continue Reading…

Anastasia Holiday 2019 Mini Loose Highlighter Set Review & Swatches

Anastasia Holiday 2019 Mini Loose Highlighter Set ($48.00 for 0.42 oz.) is a new, limited edition trio that features three loose highighters, which are part of the brand's permanent selection of shades so any shade could be purchased individually if preferred. All three shades performed consistently with the original, individual shades; they had "customizable levels of intensity," luminous, and blendable on my skin with a good wear time (about eight hours). The product normally retails for $25.00 for 0.21 oz., so the trio is the equivalent of two full-sized products or a $50.00 value. Snowflake is a bright, silvery white Continue Reading…

It features the Dual Finish Highlighter formula with two new shades and one existing one. The powders can be used dry or wet depending on how intense of a glow you want to achieve.
