MAC Pink Sprinkle of Shine Set Review & Swatches

Pink MAC Pink Sprinkle of Shine Set ($49.50 for 0.34 oz.) is a new, limited edition set exclusively available at Macy’s, which contains new shades of Extra Dimension Skinfinish and Dazzleglass with a new, larger fan-style brush with synthetic bristles. The set also included a zippered pouch. Starquake and Unleash the Stars performed consistently with their formulas. The brush has only gone through an initial review, as the set released for the holidays, and it seemed to be made fine, felt soft, but if I was thinking of a brush to include in a set, I would have gone with a more classic tapered highlighting or domed blush brush. 5 0 Pink Pink A- Limited Edition Where to Buy Affiliate...

MAC Starring You Spellbinder Shadows Reviews & Swatches

MAC Stairs to the Stars Spellbinder Shadow ($25.00 for 0.02 oz.) is a slightly blackened, reddish-burgundy with warmer undertones and fine, shimmer finish that looked more satin-like applied dry and more metallic applied wet. The texture was incredibly finely-milled and soft to the touch. There's nothing that really suggests that they could (or should) be used with a dampened brush, but they were so dismal when I initially swatched them dry, I thought, while we're here... and there's a massive improvement when working with it with a dampened brush (just water). The pigmentation was semi-sheer applied dry and opaque applied Continue Reading…

MAC Young Star, Counting Stars, Starring You Lipglasses Reviews & Swatches

MAC Young Star Lipglass ($17.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a light-medium peach with warmer undertones and flecks of soft white pearl and sparkle. It had a milkier quality to the base color, which gave it a semi-sheer level of coverage, and it sunk noticeably into my lip lines. The product applied fairly evenly, and the shimmers/sparkles dispersed well across my lips. The texture was light-medium in thickness with moderate tackiness, so it was a heavier formula compared to most, though it lasted longer than the average gloss at four and a half hours. The formula felt lightly hydrating over time. Continue Reading…

MAC Rising Star Opalescent Highlighter Review & Swatches

MAC Rising Star Opalescent Highlighter ($34.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a medium, coppery bronze with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, slightly denser texture that was more firmly-pressed in the pan but not to the point where it became stiff. Instead, it didn't have any powderiness or excess kicked up, which made it easier to work with and control how much product was picked up with my brush. It applied evenly to my skin and blended out with minimal effort. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

MAC Star Memoir & Starf*cker Lipglasses Reviews & Swatches

MAC Star Memoir Lipglass ($17.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a medium-dark berry with subtle, cool undertones and fine, violet and pink pearl throughout. It had medium color coverage with a smooth, light-medium consistency that was moderately tacky and felt thicker, but it was very comfortable to wear and smoothed out some of my lip lines. There was a bit of gloss that sank into the deeper lip lines on my lower lip, but all of my lip lines seemed finer. It wore well for five hours and was hydrating over time. MAC Starfucker Lipglass ($17.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a Continue Reading…
