NARS Inferno Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

NARS Inferno NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette ($59.00 for 0.48 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that is exclusive to Sephora. It contains three more matte shades, five glitter shades, and four shimmery shades. If you don't like glitter, this is an easy skip, because five shades contain glitter (one uselessly) and only three of the non-glitter shades are actually good. The glitter used is plastic, and I have not been able to find any information that has suggested there's been a change on whether plastic glitter can be marketed for eye usage in the US. NARS Free Lover Holiday 2019 Cheek Palette Review & Swatches

NARS Free Lover Cheek Palette ($41.00 for 0.42 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that features one highlighter and five blushes, which is exclusive to Sephora. It's a warmer mix of corals, so if you're a big fan of coral blushes and aren't already stocked up, it might be worth considering. NARS Star Scene Holiday 2019 Cheek Palette Review & Swatches

Star Scene NARS Star Scene Wet/Dry Cheek Trio ($42.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition trio that features a warm, peachy-gold highlighter and two coral blushes. All three shades hare semi-opaque to opaque coverage, which was the “downside” to the product as they’re supposed to be “sheer-to-buildable” and can be used wet for a “high-impact effect” (though the latter seemed more with respect to the finish, e.g. the glow). As I mentioned in my review of Hustle, I haven’t found that this formula is all that sheer applied dry, and they certainly will intensify in color and finish when applied with a wet brush. The formula is a denser, firmer type–like a gel-powder hybrid–that works best with moderately...

NARS Hustle Holiday 2019 Cheek Palette Review & Swatches

Hustle NARS Hustle Wet/Dry Cheek Trio ($42.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition trio that features a warm, gold highlighter and two coral blushes (more more mid-tone and the other deeper and richer). The formula is a denser, firmer type–like a gel-powder hybrid–that works best with moderately dense brushes (e.g. fan brushes aren’t ideal). The upside is that they’re not powdering, and the powders tend to “melt” when applied to skin, which gives them a smoother, more skin-like finish. The only issue I had with the product was more to do with the marketing; they’re supposed to be “sheer-to-buildable” and can be used wet for a “high-impact effect” but that seemed to be more in the context of...
